I don't use VAC, and go by the KB article for doing the cal. The setting
from months ago were phase:9.00 and gain:-18.70, I've been entering those
values after rebuilding databases thru the evolution of the software.

One problem I discovered when doing this is to make sure you do not have VAC
activated, otherwise no signal is transmitted and you have a very hard time!
I spent a day fooling myself on that one!
