As some of you know, I accidentally put 5W in to my SDR's antenna port and
hosed the receiver. I replaced the SGA-6286 IC, as well as the two
protection diodes on the RFE board. However, it still isn't receiving. I
have waited 5 weeks with the hopes of getting it serviced this week, and
today was once again told it would be at least three to four weeks, minimum,
before they might be able to get to it. While I love my SDR and agree that
it is the best radio I've ever owned, I simply can not stick with a
manufacturer that is unable to service their equipment in a reasonable time
period. While I agree this is entirely my fault, the radio is less than a
year old and still under warranty, and it troubles me to think that even if
it had failed on it's own, I'd still be out a radio two months or longer
waiting to get it serviced.

So with that being said, I'm willing to sell off the SDR in it's current
state, or perhaps part it out. Everything else works fine, ATU still tunes,
transmit still works great with full output on all bands, and sounds as good
as it always has. If you are interested, please contact me with a
reasonable offer. It's a standard SDR-1000, 100W PA, and ATU. I also have
the Edirol FA-66 I will also no longer have a need for. I always like
playing with new gear too, and I'm not opposed to trading off the hardware
for another rig, or other radio related toys.

I will sure miss my SDR-1000, but I need to get back on the air and doing
what I love!

Scott, N5KRC
