Much easier to use both vfos In Writelog, I can see the signal and in which direction the fellow was off frequency. (The panadaptor also told me which way to tune) Using the mouse (writelog has a tune via mouse feature) or using mouse in PWSDR, I could almost instantly correct for his off frequency reply. Then when the qso was complete, I just hit the Restore Button and back to vfoa = vfob.
I didn't have much success using RIT Using XIT/RIT with their up/dn buttons is too slow, you miss the buttons and half the time I moved in the wrong direction. Also you have to take your eyes off the screen and could miss part of the exchange. The XIT/RIT should be center 0 sliders. Same with the Tune Step, or maybe individual buttons for the steps. But a center 0 slider would provide more user options. Definetly different than my previous big box radios but I learn something each contest weekend. ----------------------------------------------------- If you don't think money talks, wait till they read your will! ----------------------------------------------------- Bill H. in Chicagoland webcams at http://76.16.160.118:8080/ weather at http://hhweather.webhop.org _______________________________________________ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
