I bought the Micro Innovations Firewire card several months ago, went I bought the FA-66. I haven't installed it yet, but noticed it is confirmed to work with the SDR-1000 and FLEX-5000A, but on Windows XP only. A check of the Micro Innovations web site shows that it has the VIA chipset (from the photo) and doesn't have any drivers. I don't know what my current Firewire is, short of opening the case, hi hi. How well does the Micro Innovations card work on the 5000A? The VIA chipset isn't the recommended one. How well does it work? 73,
