I finally opened up my PC and found that I have a SIIG CyberPro 3 port
Firewire installed. I've looked on the Internet to find the chipset. It
seems that CyberPro applies to a lot of SIIG cards, and not all are
Firewire. The chip on the board has a "SIIG CyberPro" sticker on it and is
dated 2004.

I replaced it with a Micro Innovations Firewire card. I had it sitting
around for a few months without ever opening the box. It is listed on the
Flex web site as working for the SDR-1000 and FLEX-5000A, but on Windows XP
only. But it does have the VIA chipset So far I can't tell any difference
between the cards.

Has anyone used either Firewire card with the 5000A? I'd like to hear back.
