First I'd like to remind people to give their full operating situation when
commenting on a problem or replying.

I run a 3.2 4 gig memory Dell computer.
Same computer runs both PWSDR and whichever logging/contest software I'm
using.
Flex5Ka firmware 0.1.1.7
I run both version 1.10.3 and whatever the latest SVN is.

My RTTY is via DxLabs/WinWarbler/MMTTY or Writelog/MMTTY
In all the software or PWSDR version, rtty output begins immeadately, with
no latency except if this condition listed below occurs.

I have posted a bug report on two issues that effect BOTH PSWDR software or
WinWarbler/Writelog operating software.

If you use the TUN button to tune your amp or antenna tunner, it will cause
a small delay in transmitting.
Mine is short enough to be a detriment in dxing/contesting.
Sometimes it's actually a benefit.
Disabling VAC and re-enabling VAC corrects the problem and it will NOT
re-occur till the TUN button is again used.

2nd problem, very subtle, took a long time to figure this out.
When CQing during a contest, a ghost received signal will begin to appear in
the contest/winwarbler rtty window.
I end my cq with W9OL.
After a few cq's, I will begin to see the L on a new line below the CQ
buffer.
As if I was hearing my own signal.
After a few more cq's, it will increase to OL.
After a few more, it will eventually get to W9OL.

It's not being transmitted, it's just being processed slowly through the
computer and into the software.
(No I don't have 'echo' enabled, in the software)

Again, disabling VAC and re-enabling VAC cures the problem.
It will return if I again begin sending buffers repeatedly.

It's as if some buffers are filling up and slowing down the processing.
Clicking the VAC button off/on sort of clears those buffers.
(speculative non programmer type thought)

I do NOT consider either of these two issues to be major, once I figured out
how to temporarily fix them.
I have confidence the Flexonian Software crew will find the cause and fix
them.
I do consider Flex to be the best rtty radio I've used. The better a radio
hears, the better a radio can filter, the better it will decode.
And by extension, the better your chance of working the station your
hunting.
In the last two months, I've worked 3 new band/modes I could not hear with
my other rig.
