As an owner of many Macs (and 4 mac laptops) they put the apple so it  
appears rightside up to those looking at the user (after all, the user  
can't see it, he is looking at the screen!)

Apple has long owned toe product tie-in market, you seldom see a  
laptop or computer in a movie that isn't an apple. Probably helps that  
Steve Jobs is the largest shareholder in Walt Disney also!
