Wayne, I just tried my 1K with SVN 1888, slid it all up and down on all bands and do not heard any popping, but I do notice a big jump in the CPU usage, from 9% to 40 to 45%, most likely due to the extra graphics needed to display. Sounds like an old fashion analog radio with a big knob. My CPU is 3.4 ghz hyper threaded, with NVida graphics card, on board LPT for control. Some of the on board graphics do not handle that much graphics very well, and have to rely on the CPU to make up the graphic difference or must share memory with main memory. You might verify this by turning the panadapter off and moving the frequency either with the mouse wheel or with the Griffin knob.
