The breakout box eliminator (BOBE) does not necessarily use the 15-pin cable. You can (and I recommend) you plug it directly into the D44 card and use well shielded stereo audio cables (1/8" (3.5mm) TRS male plugs on both ends) for the to line in and to line out connections between the SDR1K and the D44 card + BOBE. Eliminating the 15-pin cable eliminates is use as a possible antenna (RFI entry point) and two additional physical connector and cable interfaces that can become faulty. -Tim -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, February 12, 2008 1:12 PM To: Ray, K9DUR; Len Morris VE3FJB; FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz Subject: Re: [Flexradio] M 44 breakout box replacement? If the bad connections are in the 15 pin cable or its connectors, you need a new cable as well, it is not in the kit. 73 groeten Peter website www.pa0pvn.tk <http://www.pa0pvn.tk/> petervn-at-hetnet-nl pa0pvn-at-hetnet-nl pa0pvn-at-amsat-org only large files: pa0pvn-at-gmail-com There are 10 kind of people, those who can count to 1010 on their fingers, and those who count to 1111111111. ________________________________ Van: [EMAIL PROTECTED] namens Ray, K9DUR Verzonden: di 12-2-2008 17:46 Aan: 'Len Morris VE3FJB'; FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz Onderwerp: Re: [Flexradio] M 44 breakout box replacement?
