While using my SDR-1000 on SSB I am seeing on the Panadapter (and hearing in
my headphones) a fairly high spike in the 11KHz hump area when I release my
footswitch. The spike appears to be about 50 dB higher than my baseline on
the Panadapter. What's causing this? Is it potentially dangerous to the
SDR1K and a linear amplifier? Can the spike be eliminated?

Thanks and 73,
Bob, KW4CQ
