Is this a new 5000A?  Mine came when new with the pins not inserted all the 
way in on the power plug itself.  After some head scratching I discovered 
this and pushed them all the way in, which (duh) fixed the problem.

Fuse is internal inside the box.

Don't know if this will help, but was my experience.
