sdr1k in use here:

On setting DDS offset I find that turning off "spur reduction" tends to 
avoid some confusion.
Also, certain settings of display "refresh rate" can cause false nulls 
in the phase rotation.  After I get used to the setting of the offset I 
can usually set it without much fuss beyond turning off "SR"!

Seems pretty stable once it warms up (10 - 15 min maybe).
