No new physical radio, per se. When you match the new VR code with the FLEX-5000 and the SDR-1000, you will have new software defined radios that are going to be very different from what you have today with PowerSDR 1.x. That is what was promised to have running for Dayton 09. In the software defined domain of programmers, the hardware is not really the radio, it is just a source and destination for I/Q data streams for some black box to make RF out of.
