(other than for your video brag tape?) In theory, you should be able to "set" the output power, and that's what it will be, particularly for CW which is constant envelope (when keyed). Seeing the output only provides a diagnostic that it hasn't changed from the setpoint, eh? Yes, in the historical analog world, where you set power with an uncalibrated knob, you need the meter to tell what it's set at. And, if you have a inline meter, it might tell you if the amplifier or tx is automatically folding back for self protection (but, in that case, there might be a "better way" to convey the information) For SSB voice.. It's a bit more useful, since tx power depends on how loud you talk, etc. _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
