Congratulations on snagging T27OU The audio pan for the RX1 and RX2 not really straight forward.
Here is how to set the pan for RX1 in the left ear and RX2 in the right. (Set RX1 to the left channel so it doesn't adversely effect VAC when using digi modes with the configuration below) Turn off MultiRX Turn off RX2 (for effect and checking as we go) Make sure BIN mode is not enabled for either RX1 or RX. Take the top horizontal (RX1 pan) slider in the MultiRX box and move it all the way to the left. Make sure the far left vertical (RX1 gain) slider in the MultiRX box is all the way to the top. Now you should hear only RX1 in the left ear. In the RX2 section of the console, move the horizontal PAN slider all the way to the right Make sure vertical VOL slider is all the way to the top. Turn on the RX2 and you should hear RX2 in the right ear. -Tim -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, February 24, 2009 9:35 AM To: Flex Subject: [Flexradio] Stereo Audio Just moved back home to the farm in KY from my apartment in NC where I could hardly hear a thing and now the Flex 5000 is up and running on my auto-tuned vertical and.... worked T27OU on the first call this morning on 40M cw. The Flex is awesome! I do have a question about audio though. After looking through the archives, I couldn't find the same problem described, so here goes. I can't seem to get things set right to get rx1 audio in one ear and rx2 in the other. The manual says: "With the second receiver RX2 installed and on, you can also use these controls to adjust the volume L/R position of RX1 and RX2 independently. To do so, deactivate MultiRX and activate RX2. The left vertical slider will then adjust the RX1 volume only and the right slider RX2 volume only. Use the 2 horizontal sliders to position RX1 and RX2 independently anywhere in the L/R audio spectrum." The left vertical slider does affect the rx1 audio level, however, the right vertical slider has no effect on rx2 audio and the horizontal sliders have no effect on anything. I checked the stereo headphones on my OrionII and they work fine putting the main rx in one ear and the sub-rx in the other, so it's not the phones. I must not have something set right, but I can't see what it is. The rx2 is on and the multirx is off. All I can get is both rx in both ears. Any advice from you Flex pros? 73 and thanks! _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flex-radio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flex-radio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
