I have found that with my SDR-1000 and my 5000A, and with any version of
PowerSDR that I have used, if I click on the Title Bar of the PowerSDR window
the display will freeze for a second or two. The audio continues to work
though. Although this is a minor issue I hope this can be addressed some day.

Made no difference either way.

How do you have Spur Reduction (SR) set? If it is off, turn it on.

Let me know if that makes a difference.

Pete,
I'm running XP SP3 with 4 Gb ram. My DPC's are usually about 150-160
us........I've tried Normal mode and Safe Mode 1 and 2 but no help there. I've
returned to Safe Mode 1.
I've tried turning off McAfee, but that didn't help.
This is not a complete freeze, just a hesitation (momentary freeze) that only
happens when I drag the Panadapter display......the mouse wheel gives a smooth
movement of the display frequency.
My processor usage is usually around 12%, so it's not working very hard.
As you say, perhaps some update is causing the problem.
If I find a solution, I'll contact you.

Interestingly enough my dell quad core started to freeze this past week too.
Machine has XP SP2, 4 Gb ram, ....and all updates locked out, zero changed to
everything, but the machine (and PowerSDR) which had zero freezes now freezes
and usually stops, especially upon mouse movement. DPC's never higher than 230
us...and Normal mode recommended...which freezes more so ...naturally. Had to
go to safemode 2 from the factory recommended safemode 1 that I was using now
to stop it. Very strange. Let me know too what you find...maybe a Dell update?
(I have not done any adds, changes or subtracts on anything (SW, FW, or HW)
except AVG Virus scanner updates (could this be doing it...but I shut it off
and still did it).

Subject: [FlexRadio] Panadapter Freeze (Brief)

I'm running a new Flex 5000A, and Dell Inspiron 530 with a quad processor.
Within the last week a new issue has developed.
When I use my mouse to drag the frequency in the Panadapter the display freezes
very briefly. There's no audio drop out but the display "jerks" when I drag the
frequency. I don't experience this when I use the mouse scroll wheel.
I've tried the suggested solutions:
Make sure you have the most up to date version of Microsoft's .NET 1.1 SP1
installed
Make sure you have the most up to date version of Microsoft's DirectX 9.0c (or
higher) installed
Make sure you have the most up to date video driver for your graphics adapter
installed.

I think this issue is a recent deveopment so perhaps I've changed a setting.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

David
