I recently built a new PC that will only be used forPSDR, Photoshop and video editing. It is not the most highend one you will ever see but man what a difference with my 5000! Running PSDR 1.16.2, CW Skimmer 1.4 and Band Master from Afreet (a very cool program BTW) my CPU % runs around 8-12% whereas my old PC ran around 80% plus. And I have not heard any audio dropouts. There seems to be a HUGE improvment in the audio in general.
