I have been a little pistol ever since my first day operating. Every HF contact I have is on a screwdriver vertical (all the architecture committee, AKA the XYL, will allow). Originally I ran barefoot on a IC-718, then added a SB-220, which helped a lot under the circumstances. But I got used to listening for very faint signals (3:1 S/N or less). And I can copy them pretty well.

But altho my F3K is gang-busters at detecting strong signals, with weak signals it is a different story. I can copy stuff 90% that I cannot see on the Panafall at all hardly. I have thought a lot about this problem and may have a DSP type solution.

1. Should I discuss it with someone at Flex? Who????
2. Are there improvements already underway in this area? (The DSP I mean, not diversity receive).
