At least with DM780/F3K I found using the second virt com port pair keyed much more consistantly, using the single pair would cause my setup long delay in key-up and un-key.

There is a workaround I've used with MixW and PowerSDR v1.18.0. Create a second set of null-modem com ports and configure the "Secondary PTT Port" to use that com port pair.

If you are using PowerSDR v1.18.0, there is a bug that prevents CAT TX command form working correctly. It is fixed in the SVN trunk version and will be in the next released version of PowerSDR.
