With XP Home you can't join a domain, I think you can't use a computer with
multiple CPU chips.

I have used it with XP Home with no visible problems. I think the main
differences in Pro vs Home are in the networking area (for instance
max number of pending connections, etc) so you should not see a
difference as I understand it.
