Using 1.18.1 for digital.

RCP 2

com0com

buffer overrun is set on both ports

writelog is using comm 10/11 pair, ddUtil using com 5/6 pair to talk to PowerSDR.

I moved over to the Vista Ultimate machine with about the same results, except that in the standalone writelog/powersdr mode I can't get CW from writelog to key, so don't know if the CW keying works or not.

Frustrating, especially since it all worked up to a couple of days ago. Wonder if the fine folks at Redmond have put out some sort of update that is causing problems. Wouldn't be the first time...

Thanks the for response

But I only do cw and rtty.

What RPC do you have Writelog on?
What is the com port system you are using?
I find com0com to be more reliable that vCom
if using com0com, set the port that converses with Writelog to have 'enable buffer overrun' on both sides of the pair.

What com port is Writelog conversing with?

Anyone else having problems with ddUtil, Windows Media Center Edition,

When I first began trying to integrate HotWheel, 1.18.1, ddUtil, and
WriteLog for Field Day, all worked nicely except CW keying out of
writelog. Since mine will be the phone station, I
wasn't much worried
about that part.

Today, while demoing the system, nothing worked right. The radio
received OK, but CAT commands from the rest of the software didn't

work correctly. I have spent most of the afternoon trying various
things, including checking the .net information, getting the latest XP
fixes, removing and reinstalling ddUtil, including a new download --
it was the same version -- and trying 1.18.0 instead. Nothing works.

When I run 1.18.1 with Writelog only running, interfaced as the
primary CAT program with no routing through ddUtil, all the CAT
functions are working nicely AND I can send CW messages from the
keyboard. Band changes happen immediately and the frequency readout
is correct. HotWheel also works.

If I start up with ddUtil as the intermediary, band change requests
from WriteLog are vastly delayed -- we are talking 10 to 20 seconds --
if they happen at
