Harold,

What are the specs of your PC

Which firewire card are you using?

I got my Flex 3000 about a week ago. If you saw my previous post I
was having some problems with RF dropping my firewire conection and
after replacing the cable all was well. I never really transmiited
on the radio due to a vacation I took until today.

The first contact I made today was on 20 meters. The guy complained
about my audio so I sign and tried to figure out was was happening.

Here is the short version:

-rig on dummy load

- no mic plugged in or mic plugged in either way does what I will
describe

- reset database

- drive set to zero

-mic gain set to zero

- nothing else changed since the reset

When I put the MOX with no audio input I get about a half screen
reading on the panadapter. I hooked up headphones and turned on the
MON and it sounds like a rushing noise. Has anybody else seen this?
How do I get rid of it?

I can't be RF with zero drive and no pic hooked up.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Harold
