The "high end" ones are getting better at maintaining state. The BlackBox ServSwitch one I use (which has dual monitor ports for 4 PCs) continues to emulate a keyboard and mouse connection all the time so the computer thinks it has them connected. It also has buffering to prevent surges when switching between PCs. I have never had the PC "freak out", but occasionally I get a monitor that will not wake up after going into power save mode. A minor inconvenience as opposed to having lots of keyboards and mice running around the desktop.

I agree with Tim, start with a simpler system.. Are you wanting to use CW Skimmer and WSJT at the same time? Well I have a good suggestion for you when you have different configurations to run depending on what you want to do.. Take all the files in a basic PowerSDR directory, (where PowerSDR is running stable without any other programs configured) copy them into another directory. Then you can execute PowerSDR.exe out of the new directory, now you have to completely separate directories and make changes for the operation that you want. This is what is neat about PowerSDR, multiple instances of PowerSDR can be on your system without conflicting with each other. I would make one for CWSkimmer and one for WSJT, just start up the one PowerSDR for what you need. 73, Dudley WA5QPZ Tim Ellison wrote: > Have you tried resetting the database.
