Each year at the Indianapolis Communications and Technology Expo (a.k.a. -- Indianapolis Hamfest) the Indiana Radio Club Council presents an award to an Indiana amateur who has distinguished himself (or herself) by contributing their technical expertise to the advancement of amateur radio. This award is second in prestige only to the Indiana Amateur of the Year Award.
This years winner was our own Hank Wolfla, K9LZJ, of Greenfield, IN. Among the accomplishments cited in Hanks nomination was his promotion of SDR technology as the future of amateur radio. Hank has made presentations to several central-Indiana clubs on SDR in general and on the Flex-Radio Systems transceivers in particular.
