Click tuning is fine.
Using the mouse to control vfo is fine

As long as your only doing one thing at a time.

In heavy contesting or competitive dxing, where speed, accurate signal placement, and transmitting the proper message all at the same time.
You need two hands and one set of eyes.

In this case, a knob, or dedicated vfo control device such as the 'Navigator' or Sami's Hotwheels is essential.

Please note I said 'dedicated' my Griffin didn't give me the speed/accuracy/versatility I needed.
