Interesting.

My iMAC is about 8 months old, has a 2.8 GHz Intel Dual core, fast "front end bus" and 2 GB SDRAM RAM. I use XP PRO SP 3 with the SP# hotfix for the Firewire, and Bootcamp to run my F5KA. PWR SDR and Firmware are the current official releases. The only services I have turned off are the wireless services. When using 96k sampling rate I never see PWR SDR glitches. At the higher sampling rate I have experienced 2 lock-up events, these are rare. I can upset PWR SDR by running my paper shredder off of the same power strip used to run the radio, but that is easy to cure.

I do have the machine on the Internet at the same time that I am using the F5KA occasionally. I use the 2009 version of Norton anti-virus to keep gremlins away and I have never logged delays greater than about 280 usec.

I have been using an iMac dual core with the Flex 5000A for a few months now.I works great but I get freeze every so often in XP home SP3 .
It is not caused by RF as it happens in receive mode most of the time.
I have a number of service already turned off to include wireless, IR, auto software updates, apple updates, search , indexing the external 1394 network and host of others.I would like to hear from another iMac user that are freeze free and get a list of turned off services. The spike I get is hugh around 45,000 and last 5-6 seconds. This usual happens in the first few minutes of turning on the 5000A, after that it might go for hours without and issue
