Jim, I had the same problem until I swithed to the Eltima virtual drivers. Since then I've had zero problems with any of the virtual serial ports. I'm also using Vista X64.
You can download the trial version of the Eltima drivers from their web site - fully functional for 14 days. Where do you think the problem lies? Is it an HRD defect, a PowerSDR defect, a Com0Com defect, or?
