That seems to be working...fingers crossed. My Firewire card also was acting weird, I pulled it out and move to a different slot, see how this goes. So far...no BSoD....Don't you just love Windows....LOL From: telli...@itsco.com To: se_on...@hotmail.com Date: Fri, 18 Sep 2009 08:38:49 -0400 Subject: RE: [Flexradio] Spontaneousreboots with new software Are you recommending that the old be uninstalled, re-boot then install the new driver? Yes. It is in the KB article I referenced for doing the Firewire driver upgrade. http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50137.aspx Give this a try and let me know how it goes. This is the first report of a driver generating a BSoD in over two years. -Tim From: Steven O'Neal [mailto:se_on...@hotmail.com] Sent: Friday, September 18, 2009 8:21 AM To: Tim Ellison Subject: RE: [Flexradio] Spontaneousreboots with new software Tim Yep getting a BSOD with with a auto reboot. I have not dug around for the crash report that is auto generated, not sure I would understand what it's telling me anyway. I am not seeing the STOP message, pops up computer reboots, but when I get back up the error trap message generates a notice and asks if I want to check for a fix, that comes back with information about a device driver. Far as the old Firewire driver, I did not do an uninstall on it, then an install of the new Firewire driver. Are you recommending that the old be uninstalled, re-boot then install the new driver? I did not see notes on doing it that way, but that's an easy enough thing to do. OS is Wndows XP with all the latest patches and upgrades including the latest .net .
