I don't claim to be an expert on this but...
I can't see why it would work with .2 and not .3

UNLESS!!!!
You do NOT have the VAC setup exactly the same.

My first guess is that you have the incorrect MMTTY sound card setting.
If PWSDR VAC is set so:
Input is VAC 1
and
Output is VAC 2

Then in MMTTY or any other front end for digital they must be the OPPOSITE.
MMTTY's terminology is slightly different
They call the signal coming FROM the Flex "RECEPTION"
And this should be what PWSDR calls VAC OUTPUT

and MMTTY calls the sounds goint to the radio (PWSDR) Transmission
Which PWSDR refers to it as Input.

I've goofed that up a few times myself.

The only other thing I can think of is that in MMTTY MISC tab, the TX Port setting.
In my case it's set to 'Sound'.

But why that would be an issue with .3 and not version .2, I can't answer.

Good luck and you could just for kicks, tell VAC to create 2 additional VAC lines.
VAC 3 and VAC 4
and use 3 and 4 with the presently non working version .3 and see if that makes a difference.

Subject: [Flexradio] Problem with 1.18.3 and VAC

I recently did my first F5K upgrade of PSDR, FireWire, and firmware from
1.18.2 to 1.18.3. I did a DB reset after the upgrade. I thought all was well until I tried to operate using one of my digital mode programs. I found that
I could transmit but I could not get any audio from the F5K back into the
digital program. By that I mean that the CAT was working to key the
transmitter and audio was being sent from the digital program to the F5K but
no receive audio was making it to the digital program. It was like VAC had
become a one way connection. When I switched back to 1.18.2 everything works
normally. The VAC control panel looks the same with both PSDR versions. I
tried several digital programs (fldigi, Digipan, MMTTY - that all work on
1.18.2) and they all have the same problem. So I don't know if I have a VAC
problem or a PSDR problem.

Anyone have any ideas? Looks like I'm stuck on 1.18.2 for now.
