Ruediger,

I am using N1MM Logger with my FLEX-5000A. I just packed up my F5K to take
to a hamfest this weekend where I will be having a booth for FlexRadio
Systems. Therefore, I will be going from memory on the PowerSDR settings.

First, I would urge you to uninstall N8VBcom and replace it with VSP Manager
written by Steve Nance, K5FR. The author of N8VBcom is no longer supporting
it. The configurator does not work properly with Vista, & Win7 is totally
unknown territory. VP Manager on the other hand has been tested on Windows
2000, XP, 32-bit Vista, 64-bit Vista, 32-bit Win7, & 64-bit Win7. I have
been beta testing it for Steve for some time now, & it is the best virtual
serial port program available, especially for the price (free). You can
download it from http://k5fr.com/ddutilwiki/index.php?title=VSP_Manager

However, since you have N8VBcom working, if you wish to proceed under the
"if it isn't broke, don't fit it" theory, let us continue....

In PowerSDR, click on Setup==>General==>DSP==>Keyer. Under "Connections"
set "Secondary" to "CAT", set "PTT Line" to "RTS", & set "Key Line" to "DTR"

In N1MM, open the Configurer and then click on the "Configure Ports, Telnet
Address, Other" tab. Then click on the "Hardware" tab. On the line for the
COM port you are using to talk to the radio, check the "CW/Other" box and
then click on "Set". In the next window, set "DTR" to "CW", & set "RTS" to
"PTT". Finally, click on "OK" twice to close the configurator & save your
settings.

N1MM will now key the F5K for CW.

Guten Abend, Mein Freund!

p.s. -- Don't ask me to write any more Deutsch. That is about all I
remember from my high school (Gymnasium) classes 50 years ago!....hi..hi
