For my 2 cents worth...
It has happened to me also, but with the F5Ka. I did just a PWSDSDR stop and start to recover from the scratchyness.
Also using Win7 32 bit latest official software and driver.

Note: It only happened once and I have the radio on all the time (24hrs) and the driver got updated about 2weeks ago. My gut tells me it is the new driver doing it.

Happened to me yesterday on 20m USB receive on F3K. Quit PSDR, power-cycled
F3K, restarted everything and all OK.

Win 7 Pro 32 and all latest F3K software.

Left the F3K on all night, with CW Skimmer.

Woke up this morning, and the audio was extremely scratchy. Almost to the
point of distortion. Happened once yesterday, and I reset database and
restarted and it self-rsolved. Happened again today. Different bands. I
have 1.18.3 and all the latest driver/firmware. Anyone else seen this?

I've had it happen to me a few times with my F3K. I just hit the STOP button
in PSDR and then hit the START and it clears up.

Win 7, pro 32, ECO applied, and all the latest F3K software, etc.
