What Firewire driver version are you using and has this ever happened when the FLEX-5000 was not on?

The driver Wdf01000.sys is called the Kernel Mode Driver Framework Runtime. - Flex-5000A and currently running SVN3689 (but had same problem on earlier SVN's. - AMD Athlon II x4 630 Processor on M2A74-AM mobo with 2GB memory. - BTW also experiencing some long DPC's ( > 5000usec) Any clues anyone?
