If plugging the firewire into the port on the FLex shorts out that port does it also have the same effect on the computer end? I know I didn’t force the connection on the Flex but the results were the same...back to Flex for repair...but now do I have to be concerned about the port on the computer? I have one of those Graphite cables with the little green light on it and not sure what the purpose of the light is...to show the cable is plugged in (dah) or that the port is functioning correctly? SIIG FireWire 3-Port PCI i/e card installed.
