I have not done it but many have. You need a program like VNC to remote the
display and you need a program like Skype to handle the remote audio.

Here is how I would probably do it if I were going to try this out. I have
never done this so I could very well be wrong but at least I will get you
into the ballpark where you can probably trouble-shoot pretty easily.

1. Install a VNC server on the PC inside the 5000c. (The 5000c is nothing
more than a 5000a with a PC motherboard inside running Windows.)

2. Start the VNC server so that it will accept connections from the outside.
Be sure it has a good password because this is a great way for someone else
to take over your 5000c.

3. Verify that you can connect to and control the PC from another PC with a
VNC client on it. Problems with this step will probably be problems with the
firewall on the router. Make sure it works from inside the network to which
the 5000c is attached first and then try it from some remote location.

4. Install Skype on the PC in the 5000c.

5. Setup PowerSDR to have VAC turned on for all modes. If you forget to do
this you can do it via the VNC session remotely. Use virtual-cable-1 for the
receive audio and virtual-cable-2 for the transmit audio. (If you have used
a digital mode program you probably already have this set up.)

6. Configure Skype to use virtual-cable-1 for the microphone (receive audio
being *sent* by Skype) and virtual-cable-2 for speaker (transmit audio
coming in via skype.)

7. Start the VNC session from the remote computer to the 5000c.

8. Using the VNC session, start PowerSDR on the 5000c.

9. Using the VNC session, start Skype on the 5000c.

10. from the remote computer place a skype call the 5000c.

11. Using the VNC session, answer the skype call on the 5000c.

At this point you should be hearing the audio from PowerSDR on the skype
call at the remote computer.

To transmit you use the VNC session to click on the MOX button with the
mouse.

I am sure that someone else can do a much better job of answering your
question. Others may suggest programs other than skype and VNC that might
work better. Regardless, the steps above are generally what you need to do
and should get you moving toward a solution.

GL OM!
