This sounds like a really useful enhancement. You should enter it into the
enhancements database for consideration in a future version of PowerSDR or DI.

I don't think it exists either, we are looking for:

A way to "lock" the drive level at a particular setting
or a way to specify a maximum drive level. (ie, slider cant be set above 75%)

During contests the operator at the radio changes fairly frequently, and not
everyone is used to operating with the amplifier inline so it would benefit us
to atleast lock or limit the setting on the main GUI screen.

Even more wishful thinking would be to set different drive power levels per
band. (and per connector on the 5000)

Are you asking for a way to "lock" the drive level at a particular setting? If
so I do not know of a way to do this. The operator has full access to all of
the console controls.

Subject: [Flexradio] Limit drive power?

Is there a way to set the maximum drive power for the flex-3000 so that It
cannot inadvertently overdrive an amplifier?

For a radio that is used in a clubroom by many users, it would be nice to be
able to set a maximum drive level so that we don't have to worry about a new
user accidentally cranking the drive slider up and destroying our amplifier's
tubes. With the old knobby radio we would take some sticky poster tack and
hold the output power knob in one position. Sticking poster tack on the screen
won't work, so wondering if there was a software option to do this.

The amplifier is mostly only used during contests, so a permanent fix isn't
really a good option either, and an attenuator inline will hurt RX performance.

Any ideas?
