There is a new version of the SDRDataTransfer setup data file available. The only changes were some minor editorial corrections. It is perfectly okay to continue using the previous version of the setup data file.
Thanks to Alan, NV8A, I was able to analyze a database file from a FLEX-5000 with the VU5K module installed & operating. As a result, I was able to determine that there are no changes necessary to the setup file to support the VU5K module.
