Tim Could be true but I can also guarantee you that those small relays can not handle too many open circuited loads and nearby lightning strikes like the old open frame relays of yesterday's rigs could. 73 Al W5LUA

This might be a WBIR issue. The developers are looking into it. -Tim -----Original Message----- From: flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz [mailto:flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz] On Behalf Of Al Ward Sent: Thursday, January 06, 2011 6:16 PM To: todd...@comcast.net; flexradio@flex-radio.biz; flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: Re: [Flexradio] 50 mhz receive problem Todd It sounds very much like a bad T/R relay. Unless you are putting out enough power when keying the mic to correct an antenna issue. I see the problem with sticky T/R relays on the older radios with knobs. Once you fix the problem temporarily by keying the mic, does it stay good for a while? Or is it a constant problem while you are on 6M or only when you change bands to 6M? Hope to see you on tropo again. I have confirmed this by monitoring a beacon signal . I never noticed this until I upgraded to the latest software. Its like you lose a couple of "S" units on the signal , I can key the mic on the Flex and signal will return to normal. Has anyone else noticed this problem. The SWR stays the same , I first suspected coax or antenna problem but have now ruled those out. Any help or comments? This only happens on 50 mhz.
