Dear friends, on behalf of our German SDR-group I would like to express that we are deeply saddened now knowing, that John is silent key forever. A few of us had the privilege to meet John in Dayton or to talk to him by radio or on the phone. We were impressed about his determination and passion to hamradio and his contribution to Software Defined Radio specifically.
We feel sad for his family and will remember him as one of the first enthusiasts on SDR.
