As Santa Anna advanced toward San Antonio, he had to travel through
15-16 inches of snow on Febraury 13._ This snow was in Mexico_ since he
did not cross the Rio Grande until February 16, the anniversary of which
date is in one week. How's that for bad weather in 1836?
It may be that next year we may look back at this year and feel
nostalgia for the warm winter weather of 2011...
