I'm using CWX to call CQ in CW. When I set the "Drop Delay" value in CWX to
a low value (e.g. 150msec), the spacing between letters and words is greatly
exaggerated when the keyer sends the contents of the memory. If I set Drop
Delay to a larger value, say 300msec, the sent code sounds fine.

The manual says this about Drop Delay: "This control specifies the amount of
time in ms that the semi-break in keying will
wait before dropping the transmitter when there is no keying occurring". Why
would this setting have an effect on letter and word spacing?

Is this a known issue?
