The Panadapter and the waterfall show absolute signal strength. The NF is a
lot lower on the higher bands, therefore the "ambient" signal strength at the
default settings for the NF for it will not show "bright" or intense colors on
the waterfall display.

It is technical a non-issue as the waterfall is working properly where the
color is correct for the defined signal strength. You just need to configure
the color range (waterfall low /high level) to be more appropriate for the NF
(low level ) and the expected maximum signal (high level) on the band of
interest.

And no, this is not a per band setting, but a global one for all bands. An
enhancement for this new feature has been submitted.

Subject: [Flexradio] Background colour for waterfall/panafall: sensitivity
customisable by band?

HI all

When I'm happily tuned in on 20m or 15m the background is blue and sigs are
green/red/yellow etc. All okay so far.

If I tune up on 10m sigs barely register on the black background even when I'm
tuned up. It seems to be undersensitive.

On 30m and 40m (I haven't tried 80 or top band) the background is blue
regardless of whether I'm tuned up or not. It seems to be oversensitive.

So my question is whether
1. is there a calibration issue/known issue/non-issue?
2. can the background sensitivity could be customised at all 3. as per #2 but
customisable by band so that I can make all bands give a vaguely consistent
"background" colour to the waterfall by downgrading the sensitivity on some
bands and upgrading others

TIA
Mike
