I saw where someone posted about running the panadaptor at 50 fps. The maximum frame rate depends on the sample rate and how you set your buffers.
For example, if you are using 2048 samples per DSP buffer and a sample rate of 96kHz the maximum frame rate is 96000/2048 or 46.85. The maximum frame rate that will not produce the momentary-pause effect (caused by displaying the same FFT frame twice) is just under the calculated maximum or 46 fps. I normally run a sample rate of 96kHz and a DSP buffer size of 4096. I am looking for very weak but long-duration-symbol signals (WSPR, JT65, Olivia). That limits my maximum frame rate to 23fps. -- Brian Lloyd, WB6RQN/J79BPL 3191 Western Dr. Cameron Park, CA 95682 [email protected] +1.767.617.1365 (Dominica) +1.931.492.6776 (USA) (+1.931.4.WB6RQN) _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
