All,
The choppy digital mode transmit audio is back.
Plea see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b58Pc1BY_wE
I tried different VAC buffer settings, but that didn't help. It seemed
to work OK for a while after I removed and reinstalled PowerSDR 2.0.22.
It goes away temporarily after I reset the data base.
I'm using the same computer (one of Neal Campbells' machines) for a year
or so with the Flex 5000A and it's never done this before. The DPC
latency averages 60us; the rig and PC (Windows XP) have been running
flawlessly with 2.0.22.
I removed and reinstalled VAC to see if that would do anything, but it
didn't help; not sure if it was completely removed because it saved my
cable settings.
I should mention it does this when running PowerSDR with nothing else
except the digital mode software; Multipsk, HRD, Fldigi etc.
Could this have something to do with the sound card itself or it's
drivers? If so, how can I check this?
Thanks,
Tony -K2MO
All,
I've noticed that the outgoing audio on my Flex 5000A becomes choppy
now and then when running digital modes. I can see that it is
affecting the power output as well because RF drops out for a
fraction of a second along with the audio. It does this when sending
a steady tone using the "tune" function with digital mode programs in
DIGU/L mode.
I reset the database and setup PowerSDR 2.0.22 from scratch, but the
intermittent problem still exists. I also removed / reinstalled VAC
4.09, but I noticed that my VAC settings were still in tact so I
suspect it was not completely removed.
Any ideas? Should I remove PowerSDR and start fresh?
Tony
