You can also connect the powered speakers to the front (headphone)
connector.
That's what I have been doing ever since I got the V/U module installed as
there is a bad solder join on the back connector.

Is there a way to enable receive audio through the PC external speakers
without entering the PSDR Setup Menu and changing the configuration whenever
I want to switch between Digital modes and "normal" (voice/CW) operating?
I am able to listen through the headphones and the front panel jack on the
5000A regardless of the VAC settings, so that part works OK. Am I missing
another configuration setting somewhere?
Another option I have considered is connecting a(nother) set of powered
speakers to the radio's back panel in addition to the powered speakers
already connected to the PC, but prefer to not do this if there is a better
way.
