And don't forget the ones built a board at a time. I have 2 with SN's on the
boards but not the box, one may not even have numbers on all the boards
it was very early production.

A bunch. The exact number was never made public, but it was thousands.
I got mine in Oct. 2005 and it was # 750ish The stopped producing them
in 2007.
