Jim

I would save your money as you don't even need it. It only takes a relay
that can handle 12v @ 100mA to key the amp. You can test this yourself by
putting the amp on the bench. You don't even need to hook up antennas.

Just take your meter and measure the open circuit voltage on the amp keying
line. It should be about 5vdc (just guessing). Then, put your meter
into the mA meter mode and connect both leads to the amp keying line. You
can now measure the amount of current required to key the amp. And, since
you aren't putting an RF into the Amp, you don't need to hook up an antenna
as it won't be amplifying. You can add a dummy load if you are the least
bit concerned.

There seems to be some sort of myth on the internet that you have to have a
relay to key the relay in the amp. Nothing could be further from the truth.
:) They are great to have if you want to hear all those relays go click!
LOL

The only time you need the relay is when you are using something like an old
Heath Kit that had 110vac on the keying line. Anything made in this century
does not require another relay in line.
