I am not sure this is the case, but I “think” it is? I usually leave The Flex and PSDR running for days at a time. Occasionally there is glitch or power loss or whatever and the PC reboots, ungracefully, without PSDR/Flex going thru the proper shut down procedure. (This could also mean that DDUTIL goes away and comes back under less than “proper” sequence.)
When it all powers back up, Flex/PSDR/DDUTIL are reloaded (sometimes with whatever database is top of the heap in the directory, other times by importing a recently-saved database), and sometimes it is later discovered that there is no PTT for the amplifier, and rechecking the ANT1 box fixes the problem. My gut feel is that it is a PSDR issue, not DDUTIL, but the whole issue is too ghostly to be certain of anything. Uncertain what causes the “uncheck” issue, but I suspect it is related to a database reload. I do not believe this was an issue before approx. PSDR 2.1x and almost certainly not before V2.x. Hope this is of some help! 73 dan k0dan From: W1JCW Sent: September 24, 2011 05:13 PM To: K0DAN ; Robert Kearbey ; [email protected] Subject: Flex not keying amp. I'll check the bug list and ensure its on there. 73- W1JCW John From: K0DAN Sent: Saturday, September 24, 2011 3:14 PM To: Robert Kearbey ; [email protected] Subject: Re: [Flexradio] Flex not keying amp. I did not see the original thread on this but I have noticed (since PSDR V2.x +?) that when changing database files, the "Switch Relay with TR" tabs (inside ANTENNA dropdown) become unchecked, which results in no amplifier key-up. If you recheck the boxes as needed, then resave the database, it seems good until the next time you pounce on rare DX and discover your amplifier isn't there. Not sure this is reported on the bug list, but it should be. 73 dan k0dan -----Original Message----- From: Robert Kearbey Sent: September 24, 2011 12:59 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Flexradio] Flex not keying amp. Yes I have had this problem with every update. Sometimes the flex 5k will not key the Acom 2ka. Turning PSDR off and on solves the problem so don't co sider it an issue.
