FWIW, to protect my 3000 remote station I use a 'dead man' delay-on-operate relay which is triggered by the TX relay in the Flex (linear amp key). If the TX relay is closed for more than 5 minutes, the time delay relay pulls in and shuts the power off to the radio for 10 seconds, assuring QRT.
This is done using a remote control outlet device: http://www.controlbyweb.com/webswitch/ Also use this to remotely power cycle the PSDR pc as well as the radio. So even if the pc hangs up, I still have control of the radio for the sake of compliance. g Edwin Marzan wrote:
