Hi Mike

Here is some guidance / input.

CAT functionality should permit you to change the freq and key the radio
through CAT commands.

In VSPE you should create a com port pair of com 7 / com 8

On MixW set CAT port to com 7
On PSDR set CAT port to com 8
Set speed to 9600
PowerSDR will emulate a TS-2000 and should be set for that is a Flex is not
on the menu in MixW.

If radio will not key, then you need to do the following:

In VSPE create com port pair of com 9 / com 10

On MixW set PTT port to com 9
On PSDR set PTT port to com 10
You key the radio through the DTR or RTS lines. You can enable one, the
other, or both. But whatever you set in MixW, then you must match in PSDR.

If this is insufficient to assist you along, I can remotely connect to your
system with a tool such as Teamviewer. I also live in Richmond Hill, so
there are other options available.

Keith

Subject: [Flexradio] Setting up MixW

I wonder if any one has set up VPSE , MIX W , VAC with the Flex 5000A in
Windows 7 64 bit. I have VAC working Mix W with no trouble. I have VPSE
working and can generate com ports that can be seen within the CAT settings
of the Flex menu. I seem unable to get Mix W to PTT the radio. I can get
the radio to go into XMIT but it does not return to receive. I wonder if
someone

Can spoon feed me the info.

So for example - SET VPSE split Com 7 Com 8

Select in Mix W Configure PTT & CAT = CAT = Kenwood

                                                                Model =
TS-200 ????

In the PTT & CAT interface window in MIX W = Com8 (9600)

What settings are to be used in the Flex Cat setting and what is checked
there.???

Hope I am clear.

Tnx,

Mike VE3BGE
