Normally I can sort of follow what people are saying even with my reduced capacity to understand meaning given my age but this time you've got me.

What on earth are you talking about when you say the power switch (button with blue lamp) mike jack and headphone jack are on the back of the 5000? Of course functions can be accessed from the back but can I suggest that the side of the radio with all the bumpy stuff is the back?

Yes. No idea why they split it up that way. The 1500 is especially confused
as to which is front and back.
